Health & Safety Officer

Responsibilities and Duties

• Coordinates the operation of the Health & Safety team at work and quarterly meetings and keeps minutes for monitoring issues, in conjunction with the Risk Assessment Study of the Hotel.
• Is responsible for setting goals, objectives, action plan to risk assessment, etc.
• Is responsible for the successful implementation of the requirements of the Quality Management System concerning him.
• Ensures the necessary internal / external communication for the health and safety issues.
• Evaluates the progress of the Management System and Risk Assessment Study and take corrective measures improving.
• Informs staff regarding legislation and regulatory requirements for health and safety at work and act appropriately for their implementation.
• Controls and monitors the incidents, accidents on site by staff and customers and takes the necessary corrective measures.
• Is responsible for control on implementation (inspections, diagnostics etc) for procedures, work instructions and work safely.
• Contributes to the definition and formulation of emergencies action plans, monitor, evaluate, analyze and take corrective action
• Identifies training needs in health and safety.
• Supervises staff and company resources on health and safety issues
• Performs any other related duties assigned by the Management.

Qualifications and Educational Background

• Diploma/ Degree in Health and Safety or Quality Management systems or Risk Management or relevant experience of minimum 3 years in the field of safety and health.
• Familiarization with the Cyprus laws requirements for health and safety.
• Excellent command of computer systems (word, excel etc)
