Job Description
To provide fast, courteous, and quality service to customers, promote sales and help in the smooth operation of the dining room/ restaurant according to the quality standards of the restaurant.
Responsibilities and Duties
● Assist waiter in providing exceptional service in the dining area.
● Maintains the highest levels of personal hygiene, cleanliness, and appearance, and follows health and safety rules.
● Maintains working areas and utensils, always cleans before and after work. Caring for all the ingredients and utensils in a careful manner.
● Maintains good cooperation with colleagues. Respects and follows the instructions from superiors and consults with them, for any questions.
● Performs the functions of the Department based on written procedures, the instructions of Restaurant Manager the hygiene and hotel policies.
● Knows and applies the general rules of the waiter, and those that apply in the hotel.
● Identifies items listed in the restaurant menus, the composition and serving characteristics.
● Is polite and always willing to serve customers.
● Stocks side service points with condiments, as necessary. Performs serving, cleaning, and stocking duties, in order to facilitate customer service.
● Cleans shelves, walls, furniture, and equipment in food service areas and other areas of restaurants. Stocks refrigerating units with wines and bottled beer and replaces empty beer kegs.
● Sorts and counts linen, takes them to the laundry, collects clean linen and other items from the storeroom, kitchen etc., necessary for the daily operation.

Qualifications and Educational Background
● High school diploma
● Food safety training is a plus
● Knowledge of Greek language is a plus
● Knowledge of any other European language is a plus
