Job Description
Maintain and cultivate gardens with great care so that they are in good condition and very clean and neat.
Responsibilities and Duties
● Performs the duties of this position based on the "Groundskeeper" work manual, the Chief engineers’ instructions, and the Hotel’s policy
● Maintains all indoor and outdoor plants in perfect condition and appearance. Follow the instructions of specialist consultant, landscape architect or horticulturalist
● Is polite and always willing to serve customers. He collaborates and communicates effectively with superiors.
● Supervises and takes all necessary actions for effective handling of the daily work program.
● Maintains a good stock of chemicals for the gardens in the gardening store.
● Ensures that all safety precautions to self and others are taken when handling chemicals and refers to MSDS (Manufacturers Safety Data Sheets) and the chief engineer for proper care.
● Maintain depots and other work areas in a safe, clean and neat manner.
● Is responsible for the execution of the following processes:
- Cleaning of gardens and collecting garbage.
- Watering of grass, flowers, trees and other plants.
- Picking of dried leaves and bin discard.
- Grooming of plants.
- Grass cutting
- Seasonal plants grooming (eg carving, Weed Control, pruning).
- Fixing plants.
- Use of fertilizer for grass and plants.
- Planting of seasonal plants.
- Prevention of any plant diseases.
● Is well familiar with the Department and Hotel policies and procedures, and the
physical layout of the premises. Is knowledgeable about emergency procedures.
● Carries out any additional relative duties assigned by the management.

● Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
